April Ann Brown

On the very early morning of January 25th, 2017 Award winning Native American Flutist, singer, writer and artist April Ann Brown lost, no wait! No she didn’t! April Ann Brown has been living well with Metastatic Breast Cancer since 2009. Thanks to her brilliant surgeon, Dr. Herbert Schwartz and her equally brilliant oncologist, Dr. Nancy Peacock, she has taken Cancer on her own terms with quality of life always at the forefront of the Treatment plan.

Even in her Final months of Hospice and constant and ever increasing pain, she laughed right through Cancer. She created the most amazing Music, Poetry and Art right through Cancer And she helped so many dealing with Cancer Right Through her own

On January 25th 2017 April made her final winning move leaving behind a broken body no longer strong enough or large enough to contain her and although she’s flown away from this world, her journey, music, artwork and Poetry will continue to help ease the Stresses of Cancer and inspire others to reach into their own creative Souls.

She is remembered by her husband, best friend, caregiver and life and musical soulmate Paul Brown; her mother and step father Faye and Eddie Smith, father and stepmother Cornelius and Kathy Morton; son and daughter -n- law Robert and Echo Rees; her son and daughter -n- law Joe and Kayla Reese, grandson Spencer Rees; stepsons Paul and Patrick Brown; granddaughter Paisley Jane Brown, brothers and sisters-in-law Scott and Lelia Morton and Rob and Glenna Morton, nephews, great nieces and nephews
