Betty Short

Betty Short, age 76, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee.

Betty was born on August 16, 1945 in Estill Springs, Tennessee to the late Will and Mary Prince.

Betty loved her Lord and gospel music. She also enjoyed to view birds especially humming birds. Most of all Betty loved her family.

Betty retired from Savannah Healthcare and was a member of Church on the Rock in Savannah.

She has been reunited in heaven with her loving husband Marvin Short.

She is also preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Jack Prince, Hershall Prince, and Bud Prince.

Betty is survived by her sons: Timothy Short of Savannah, Tennessee, Randy Hicks of Hazel Green, Alabama, Wesley Short Savannah, Tennessee, and David Short Savannah, Tennessee ;stepsons: Stephen Short of Olive Branch, Mississippi; step daughter of Rhonda McKenzie of Parsons, Tennessee; sister: Polly Ray of Tullahoma, Tennessee; brother: Curtis Prince, and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be members of the Hardin County Fire Department.

A service for Betty will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1 pm at Church on the Rock in Savannah, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10 am to the start of the service at Church on the Rock. Betty will be laid to rest at Lebanon Cemetery in Sardis, Tennessee.
