Charles Edward Wade

Charles “Chuck” Edward Wade of Smyrna, TN, found his way to the Lord on the morning of Monday, February 13, 2012. Chuck was born in Parkersburg, WV on October 5, 1929. He was an Army Veteran and worked at Union Carbide for over 30 years and was a member of the Williamstown Masonic Lodge. Mr. Wade spent most of his life as a gospel singer. Anyone who knew Chuck was well aware that he loved music, his family, and the Lord. Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his daughter Victoria Contreras, as well as his parents William Charles Wade and Pauline Pearl Ahart, brother William Wade and sister Mary Johnson.
Chuck Wade is survived by his wife, Wanda Louise Wade of Smyrna, TN; Son, Doug Sharon Wade of LaVergne, TN; Daughter, Linda Covey of Marietta, GA; Grandson, Adam Stephanie Covey of Marietta, GA; Grandson, David Darnell of Mt. Juliet, TN; Grandson Alex Wix of Parkersburg WV; Granddaughter, Amanda Wade of Barnsville, OH; Granddaughter, Amber Robertson of Twin City, GA; Great Grandson, Marley Covey; Great Grandson Spencer Robertson; and Great Granddaughter Lily Kate Robertson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Wade and niece Kerry Wade both of Parkersburg, WV. A memorial service will be held at Lavergne First United Methodist on Saturday February 18, 2012. Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM followed by a service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please send donations to: Lavergne First United Methodist Church
