Edna Lorraine Ward

Edna “Lorraine” Ward, age 81, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at McKendree Villiage in Hermitage, Tennessee following an extended illness.

Lorraine was born on March 27, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, to Sebren and Jewell Moten Green. She was married to William Ward. Lorraine was a matriarch of her family and especially loved all her grandchildren. She was full of life and love for her family. She especially enjoyed jazz music.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter: Babette Dixon and her husband Darnell; grandchildren: Bradley Dixon, Veronica Harvey, Ryan Dixon, Dana Bailey and Dana’s husband Trae; 8 great-grandchildren and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A memorial service, celebrating the life of Mrs. Ward will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Evans Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1341 Tulip Grove Road, Hermitage, Tennessee 37076.
