Evelyne Skoney went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2016. Born in McHenry, Illinois she was one of 3 children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Edmund C. Skoney, her parents Frank and Katherine Weingart and her sister Louise Schaffer.

During WW II she waited four long years for her lifelong love to return from Japan to be married at St. Mary’s Church in McHenry, Ill. They built and made their home in Elmhurst, Ill. As the consummate homemaker she created the ultimate family experience. Retirement included a move to Grant, AL on beautiful Lake Guntersville. She and her husband Ed were avid square dancers that were active into their mid 80’s belonging to multiple clubs. Later they made the move to Birmingham to be closer to son Jims family and then to Nashville after her husband’s death in 2011 to be closer son Bobs family. She was known for her sunny disposition and bright outlook on life with her glass always more than half full. Her quotes will live on.
