Gregory Lamont Walker

Gregory L. Walker, age 64, a resident of Murfreesboro, TN passed away May 23, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Walker was born May 29, 1947 in Chicago, IL, to the late Judson and Gwendolyn Bowling. Gregory graduated from college with a Bachelors degree and working many jobs in his long career with his last job for the Chicago transit authority as a bus driver. His family described him as a man who loved life, and a man who simply loved being with his friends. Mr. Walker is survived by his son, Rassan Walker of Lexington, KY; One daughter: Nichole Kenneth Gholston of Austin, TX; One sister: Pamela McConico Bowling of Murfreesboro, TN; His ex-wife, Carolyn Walker of Louisville, KY; Two special cousins: Andrea Henry Jackson of Lexington, KY and Deborah Jeffery Lusk of Memphis, TN; Two Nieces: Janeen George Lain and Kalita Carlson Jackson both of Murfreesboro, TN; Four grandchildren: Rassan Walker Jr., Jeriah Walker, Aaliyiah Gholston and Joshua Gholston. He was preceded in death by his brother, his grandson Caleb as well as his grandparents. An inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
