Helen Wiesehan Westbrook passed away peacefully from this world on June 10, 2014, at the age of 92. Helen was born in Nashville on July 19, 1921. She graduated from Central High School and attended St. Thomas Nursing School, in Nashville, Tennessee. Helen married her high school sweetheart, Harry W. Wiesehan, Jr., with whom she had two daughters, Gay and Glee. Harry and Helen later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where they lived happily until Harry’s death in 1999. After years of being widowed, Helen married Percy Westbrook of Canada. Percy and Helen enjoyed several years of bliss, until Percy died in 2003. Helen returned to Nashville in December of 2012, and resided at Morningside Assisted Living on Belmont Blvd., in Nashville. Helen is survived by her daughters, Gay Prince Greg of Jacksonville, Florida and Glee Gearon Barry of Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, Helen was the proud grandmother of six, great-grandmother of eight, and great-great-grandmother of three. Helen is also survived by a sister, Willis Meadows and a niece, Joy Capps, both who reside in Nashville and a nephew, Don O’Quinn of Murfreesboro. Following her cremation, a celebration of Helen’s life will take place on Saturday, June 14, at Christ the King Catholic Church on Belmont Boulevard in Nashville. Visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 will be followed by a mass.
