Janice Loraine Collins

Mrs. Janice Loraine Collins, age 68 of Columbia, died Tuesday, May 3 at her residence. Janice was a native of Sodus, NY and daughter of the late William and Lenora Russell Huff. She had worked for IEC Electronics in Newark, NY and Dynalec Corporation of Sodus, NY. Janice was an avid reader and loved to scrapbook with her girlfriends, and work crosswords. She was of the Christian faith and a proud member of the Silver Sneakers Volunteers at the Columbia YMCA. She is survived by her husband: Edgar “Barry” Collins and two children: Ronald Decker and Deborah McLouth, all of Columbia; three brothers: James Huff of Sodus, NY, William Huff of Huron, NY, and Earl Huff of Rock Stream, NY; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family will gather from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Monday, May 9 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia to visit with friends. They will celebrate Janice’s life with a memorial celebration at 5:00 PM. Final services and committal at the Sodus Point Methodist Church will take place on May 18 in Sodus Point, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Janice’s memory. Arrangements under the direction of the Cremation Society of Tennessee.
