John Randolph Green, Jr., passed away on August 26, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee, at the age of 56. He was born on April 3, 1968, in Maryland to Barbara Zempel and the late John Green Sr. John had a way of connecting with people and was known for his friendly, outgoing nature, making friends wherever he went.
He found peace in simple joys, especially spending time by the riverside, where he loved to fish. Collecting stamps was another passion of his, and each one in his collection held special meaning. John also enjoyed playing basketball with kids in his neighborhood, sharing his love for the game and making lasting connections. A regular at the local library, John was an avid reader who found comfort in the world of books.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Zempel, and his siblings, Cher Larock (Chris), Heather Green, Billy Zempel III, and Christina Zempel. He leaves behind his nephew, Cortez Fleming (Rakwalia), and great-nieces, Kylie and Miya Fleming. John was also close to his best friend, Brian Horton and nurse, Lori.
John will be missed for his kindness, his love for the outdoors, and his ability to bring people together. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will always cherish the moments they shared with him.
