Linda Porch

Linda Powell Porch passed away on August 15, 2018 peacefully at home with her family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Powell and her sister-in-law Lou Powell.

Linda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Phillip Porch; her mother, Virginia D. Powell; her two daughters, Meg Porch and Ellie Porch Vaughan (Rocky); two grandsons, Ryder and Brody Vaughan; her brothers, Ben Powell (Linda) and Bob Powell (Paula). Along with many other family members and loved ones, she is also survived by her furry babies, Rhett and Scarlett, who snuggled in her lap till the end.

Linda was born in Richmond, Va. on February 9, 1953. As well as being a wonderful, loving mother to her girls, she was a Certified Radiation Therapy Tech and most of her working years were spent at Southern Radiation.

Over the past nine years, Linda has lived with the debilitating progression of MSA. She confronted her illness privately but bravely. Linda’s girls, Meg and Ellie meant the world to her. She was always smiling whenever they were in her presence. Linda had the best laugh and thrived on laughter and a good joke.
