Lisa Marie Rossey, a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many, passed away on May 29th, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, tolerance, and acceptance that will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lisa was a true Jack of all trades, excelling in everything she set her mind to. She had an infectious zest for life and radiated love wherever she went. Her warm and welcoming nature made her an instant friend to everyone she met, and she had a remarkable ability to make people feel comfortable in her presence.
With her unique sense of humor, Lisa could always bring a smile to anyone’s face. Her light-heartedness and joy for life were truly uplifting, even in the face of adversity. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained strong and continued to spread love and happiness to those around her.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Richard Gary Rossey, and her mother, Kathleen Rossey. She is survived by her loving wife, Georgia Rossey, and her stepchildren, Chris (Ashlee) Hurst, Tylor (Hailey) Victory, and Rhianna (Landon Austin) Victory. She will also be fondly remembered as “Lala” by her grandchildren: Eli James, Blakely Reign, Braelyn Marie, and Indie Moon. Lisa is survived by her brother, Rich Rossey, as well as her nieces and nephews, Zach (Gracee) Rossey and Caity (Josh) Manley. Her great-nieces, Sophia and Charlotte, held a special place in her heart. Lisa also cherished the relationships she had with her bonus sisters, Rhonda Loyd, Holly Stadelman, and Candy Smathers, and her many friends who were considered family. Her beloved fur babies, Izzy, Livi, Arya, and Nacho, were a source of comfort and companionship throughout her life.
She was an incredibly loving wife, stepmother, sister, and friend. Lisa’s spirit of love and strength will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She had an immeasurable impact on the lives she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide us in our own journeys.
In the words of a heartfelt sentiment, “If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”
