Lois Irene Kowalewski

Lois Irene Sauve-Gilliam-Kowalewski (known as Granny) was born on 4/15/1937 in Saginaw Michigan, to Joseph Henry Sauve and Irene May Genergeske-Sauve. Lois survived by 4 children; Deborah Lynne Gilliam(1956-2007), Dawn Marie Collins, Jefferson Davis and Olivia Gilliam, and Julie Darlene Gilliam. She also had 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Rommel and Korina Espino (Kirsten, Kaleb and Leo), Chloe, Nancee Gilliam (Joey, David-Kennedy), Tammy and SeanFeeley (Sean, Riley), Jeri (Tyler, Anna, Max, Robin), Samantha Collins(BreeAnna, Laurelle, Ethan, JJ, James (11/05-12/05), Amberlynne, Stephanie(Nacho) Hernandez( Bryan, Cristina, Joshua), and Joshua Gilliam. She also was survived by two brothers Jerry and Julie Sauve (Lisa(Howard)Dewarren, Jerome(Errin) Sauve, Heather (David) Teater), and J Henry Sauve (Renee). Also, she had 5 great nieces and a great nephew.

She had different jobs, from a bookkeeper in a hospital to the last job before retirement as a caregiver. She cared for many, but caring special needs clients was her specialty. When she retired she moved to Tennessee.

She was the family’s counselor! All of us loved going to her for her special talks.
