Lowell Ross Buckner, Jr.

Lowell Ross Buckner Jr, age 85 of Hendersonville, passed away October 31, 2012 in Hendersonville Tn. Buck was born on August 5, 1927 in Braintree, MA. After finishing high school he joined the Navy and attended Cornell University, where he would become a Chemical Engineer. He was employed with Mobil Oil for thirty six years including a position as Manager of Engineering. Mr. Buckner is survived by his children: Nancy Terje Buckner Saele of Norway, Lowell Carol Ross Buckner III of Houston, TX, and Janis Barber of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren: Amanda Buckner, Madison Buckner, Kelly Buckner, Helena Mae Saele, Nils Petter Saele, Dr. Drew Norowski, Cal Norowski, David Barber, and Dr. Kristina Stroud, and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Buckner is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mae Jocelyn, and his son in law, Thomas Barber.
