Maria Theresia Rosa Heymann

Mrs. Maria Teresa Schwab Heymann, age 94 of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 surrounded by her loving family in the home of her daughter, Monika. Mrs. Heymann was born in Duisburg, Germany to the late Franz Schwab and Hedwig Wehner on December 23, 1917. Maria married Hans A. Heymann, who precedes her in death. In her later years she was able to obtain legal residency to the USA, so that she could come spend time with her family. The family shared that she was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Heymann leaves behind her children to share her legacy: Monika Larry Freeman of Franklin, Benjamin Blum, son-in-law of Baltimore, her sister-in law Dorli Wilhelm Quidde residing in Moers, Germany: her brother’s family residing in Berlin, Weimar and Stuttgart, Germany, her grandchildren: Barbara Jeff Thomason of Memphis; Stefanie Todd Rushing of Franklin, Mark Freeman of Nashville, David Mandy Blum of Largo, Florida, Sam Blum of Las Vegas, great grandchildren: Mary Baylee Thomason, Briggs Thomason, Carly Rushing, Maggie Rushing, Barabara Jewell Blum. In addition to her husband, her daughter Barbara Blum preceded her in death. The Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
