Maurice Charles Parrish, Jr.

On May 14, 2022, Maurice Charles Parrish, Jr. of Jamie Drive, Centerville, Tennessee, died at the age of 72. Maurice passed from stage 4 small cell carcinoma lung cancer.

He was born March 30, 1950. Maurice is a native of Glen Rock, PA (one year) and lived in Maryland (20 years), California (33 years), Tennessee (Bon Aqua 7 years), and most recently Centerville (11 years).

Maurice was preceded in death by his maternal and parental grandparents; his biological parents’ mother: Virginia Dare Adams, father: Maurice Charles Parrish Sr.; sister: Patsy Irene Short; one nephew: Steve Rowe; and one niece: Tammy Rowe.

Maurice is the beloved brother and is survived by three sisters: Lucille Virginia Piazzie of Baltimore, MD, Nancy June Alberts of Lyles, TN; and Betty Jean Keith of Bon Aqua, TN. Maurice is also survived by six nieces; one nephew; eleven great-nieces; fourteen great nephews; and five great-great nieces; and one great-great nephew.

No formal services are in order and no special future gathering/visitations are planned either. In lieu of flowers or donations, Maurice requests that you simply, humbly celebrate your life, and his, by looking at a coworker, friend, significant other, whomever you are next to now and let them know how much you care for them.  Tomorrows are uncertain. Maurice was thankful and grateful for all the support that carried him in his final days. Smile at them, as smiles are contagious. Look inward and share the authentic you.
