Patricia Louise Kochy

)Patricia L. Kochy, 89, died Saturday, April 5 in SpringHill, TN, with her son Jeff and daughter-in-law Susie at her side. She was born on May 24,1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Clarence and Louise (Valentine) Salway. She married Jack Kochy on August 6,1955 in Thompson OH.

Pat was very proud of her success in business. She led the growth of the family business from a small general store and feed mill to one of the largest motorcycle and snowmobile dealerships in this region. She went on to also be a successful realtor before finally retiring to Florida.

Pat was a fixture at all the grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed fishing with Jack both on Lake Erie and off their seawall in Florida. She was a die-hard Cleveland sports fan – rarely missing an Indians game on tv and was a long-time member of the different Browns Backer groups near her Florida home.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents Clarence and Louise Salway, her siblings Leonard, Clarence and Rose Kettler. Pat is survived by her children John (Joan) of Middlefield, OH., Jeff (Susie) of SpringHill, TN., Dawn (Paul) of Chagrin Falls, OH., Karl (Heather) of Huntsburg, OH., ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held on April 26 at her Florida home in Pirate Harbor, Punta Gorda, FL. A private graveside service for family will be held at a later date.

Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
