Peter Patrick Kehir

Peter Patrick Kehir, age 93, resident of Antioch, TN, passed away during the early hours of Wednesday, April 3, at Christian Care Center in Smyrna. Peter was preceded in death in January, 2013, by his loving wife, Joyce Kehir. They were the parents of four loving and devoted children who all say that they owe everything they are, especially their keene senses of humor, to both their parents. Peter was an Army Air Corps veteran and the children said that his main hobby was work – he loved his work in the aeronautics industry. He was of the Catholic faith. In later years, Peter had learned to quilt and over the course of many years burned up four sewing machines in making qilts for the Smile Train organization who make quilts for children in South America. Peter leaves behind his dear children, Ronald Linda Kehir and James Gloria Kehir, both of Antioch; Suzanne Orr of Minnesota and Ruth Thorsett of California; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Peter will be interred next to his wife, in the Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Pike S., Madison, TN, on Friday, April 12 at 12:00 Noon.
