Robert “Bobby” Lee Smith

Mr. Robert “Bobby” Lee Smith, age 45 of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Thomas Mid-Town.

Bobby was born on August 12, 1970 in Tampa, Florida to Paul Michael and Emily Kay Chestnut Smith. “Big Bobby” as he was known to his friends and family was indeed a large boy, who had a large personality to match. He was everybody’s best friend and had “Personality Plus”, as his dad described it. Bobby was very athletic and was awarded a four year scholarship to Alabama A&M University where he played college football all four years. He played several offensive positions including off tackle and center guard. He worked as a manager of a club in Nashville. Bobby was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his father: Paul Smith of Mobile, Alabama; and brother: Michael Scott (Dodi) Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother: Emily Kay Chestnut Smith.

The family will celebrate Bobby’s life with a memorial service at a later date and his cremated remains will be inurned next to his mother’s.
