William Harold Karp

William H. Karp, 57, passed away Thursday, December 29th, 2011 at his home in Lebanon, TN. Born in Coral Gables, FL to Kenneth Karp and Patricia Jolley Karp, Hal as he was known to his friends and family moved to Ocala, FL in 1975 where he started several businesses, including horse insurance and surety companies. A loving husband and father, he was involved with all his children’s activities from coaching little league to attending every school sports program and dance recital. He enjoyed fishing, old cars and working on watches in his spare time. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Virginia Dell Karp of Lebanon, TN, his 3 children Aaron Karp, Chad Karp and Mackenzie Karp, his daughter-in-law Kelly Chandler and granddaughter Lily Ann Karp, his mother Patricia Jolly Karp of Ocala, FL and his 4 siblings Pam Heil and her husband Gary, David Karp, his wife Debbie and their 2 children Adam and Avery, Phillip Karp and his wife Amy and Amy Karp and her partner Bill. Hal was a good man, a loyal friend and a trusted partner. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family. At his request, no services will be held on Hal’s behalf. The family welcomes donations to the American Cancer Society made in his memory. Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
