William John Cotey

Mr. William John “Bill” Cotey, age 65, of Cookeville, passed away on Friday, May 10, at Kindred Hospital in Nashville, TN. Bill was born May 8, 1948 in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of the late John William Cotey and Elaine Irick Cotey. Bill had worked at several jobs throughout his life, but before his retirement was in retail management. Bill leaves behind his children, Angelica Pentergrast of Bakersfield, Calif., Dawn Perry of Calif., Billy Cotey of Ind., Diana Bucholtz of Calif and John Cotey II of Calif., two sisters, Colleen Schabacker of Cookeville and Nancy Bliss of Durand, IL, two brothers, Tyler Cotey of Leaf River, Il and Jon Cotey of Phoenix, AZ along with his significant other, Debra Dexter of Cookeville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. The family will celebrate Bill’s life on June 1, from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the home of his sister, located at 6790 Mansell Road, Cookeville.
