William Moran

Mr. William “Bill” Moran, age 77 of Waverly, passed away March 14, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at The Alive Hospice of St. Thomas. Bill was born September 13, 1934 to the late Marylou and William Moran in Waverly, TN. He was drafted into the United States Army, and later honorably discharged in 1954. For years he was an operator for an aluminum company, before working as a cook at the Leegan Mobil Exxon. The family will celebrate his life with one another Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 4:00 in the afternoon at Lakeview Baptist Church in Tennessee Ridge, TN. In addition to his wife, Cheryl Ann Vanhorn Moran, his children survive him: Jeff Melissa Moran of Tennessee Ridge, Laina Brooks of Pegram, and Nina Plant of Greenbrier; his grandchildren: Tyler Moran, Hunter Moran, Jake Brooks, Cody Brooks, Jana Plant, Jodie Lee Plant; siblings: Wilma Forrester and Corky Moran. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society Survivor: Cheryl Moran. The Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
